Beer

Designed for Thirsty Time Travelers

Man, do I enjoy the beer making process. Currently, I brew 5-6 gallon batches at a time using a Robobrew 35L all-in-one all-grain system and try to have at least two batches fermenting at a time. I seem to do the best with higher gravity beers, but have difficulty keeping them on hand.

Beer making’s colorful history and its blend of science, the culinary, and alchemy is just the right balance to totally inspire me and challenge me. It’s a much longer and more involved practice than say, going to the store and picking up a mix-a-six of craft beer. But during the time you’re cleaning, sanitizing, mashing, lautering, sparging, cleaning, pitching, racking, washing, sanitizing, bottling, washing, cleaning and sanitizing, you have a lot of time to noodle ideas out in your head.

It’s a Zen thing, I guess.

Cheers!

The Beer Labels of Stimpygato

I enjoy creating the labels as much as I do crafting the beer. Each beer label is unique to the brew it was designed for, and word-play abounds, because beer. None of these beers are or were sold or marketed, only bragged about and enjoyed personally with (ir)responsible friends.
